Course Descriptions Enrollment & Fees Prerequisites Got a Question?


For the 2008/09 school year The International School of the Kootenays is offering grades 10 to 12.

Each student that enrolls at ISK is supported in developing their graduation program, with ISK teachers ensuring that all prerequisites and necessary foundation course needs are addressed.

The most important prerequisite necessary to attend ISK is a desire to engage, a willingness to be challenged, and an interest to learn in an environment that is student centered and inquiry based.

English Language Proficiency (international students):
Students are required to have verbal and written proficiency at an upper intermediate level, or a minimum TOEFL score of 450. This means, that the students are a competent speakers who can effectively communicate in everyday situations, can make major contributions to a conversation of general and personal interest, and follow topic switches. While communicating, they can make many errors, but will attempt to self-correct.
